Linked In Best Practices
Listen to my interview with ATD Houston on using Linked In to build your strategic network. Listen here (total of 18 minutes). Thanks to all at ATD for this opportunity to give back to a super organization!

Before an Event
•Send a message to your existing connections
•Send invitations to other speakers/attendees and suggest meeting up at lunch or breaks
During the Event
•Use Find People Near Me on your phone during an event
•Actively seek out the connections you’ve invited before the event
After the Event
•Connect within 24 hours of meeting someone
•Include a personalized note so they remember who you are and what you discussed when you met
Nurture the Connection
•Remind people how you can help them (send interesting info, post comments on their articles, etc.)
•Use Linked In’s automatic features to send good wishes (birthday, promotions, job changes, etc.)
•Don’t spam!!
